A Day at Sea Around Bantayan

Bantayan Island invites travelers to explore its stunning landscapes and vibrant culture. This charming island, measuring 16km by 11km, is the perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation and adventure. With its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and friendly locals, Bantayan offers a unique experience. Take a day trip by bangka to discover the nearby gems of Hilantagaan and the picturesque Virgin Island. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore, Bantayan has something special for everyone.

On such a day, lunch is served on Virgin Island, prepared by the crew while you visit the island (there’s a high diving board for the more adventurous, on the other side of the island, accessible on foot of course). You’ll be amazed by the white sandy beach and turquoise waters that surround the island.

On site, you can of course relax, swim and snorkel – enough to occupy a good part of the afternoon and have a great time. Bantayan Island has three municipalities. Use this list as a guide when booking your accommodation:

Santa Fe

The ferry port and airport are located in the south-eastern part of Bantayan Island. That’s why it’s the gateway to this tropical destination. Most of Bantayan Island’s sights, restaurants and bars, as well as the best accommodation, are also located in this area. This is why most travelers prefer Santa Fe as their home base when on the island.

Bantayan

This is the largest and most populous municipality, located in the center of the island of Bantayan. Attractions include Sts. Peter and Paul Church, the Bantayan Island Nature Park Resort pool grotto, and the Obo-ob Mangrove Ecological Park.

Madridejos

Located to the north of the island of Bantayan, this is the furthest municipality from the ferry port. Here you’ll find the Kota Park, where you can watch the sun set over the beach and promenade.
